H.R. 8719 — Shared Micromobility Investment Act

This section expands eligibility for funding under three surface transportation programs to include shared micromobility projects, including investments in bikesharing or shared-scooter systems: (1) the Surface Transportation Block Grant Program, which provides flexible funding to states and localities for a range of highway and bridge projects; (2) the Carbon Reduction Program, which funds projects that reduce transportation-related carbon dioxide emissions; and (3) the Local and Regional Project Assistance Program, which awards competitive grants for infrastructure improvements.
