H.R. 873 — To amend title 10, United States Code, to modify the rate of pay for care or services provided under the TRICARE program based on the location at which such care or services were provided.

This section requires the Secretary of Defense, for TRICARE (the health care program for active duty service members, retirees, and their families), to pay the lowest authorized reimbursement rate to a health care provider when multiple rates are available (except as provided under existing law) and to establish reimbursement rates specific to the location of service—(1) inpatient hospital, (2) on-campus hospital outpatient department, (3) off-campus hospital outpatient department, (4) ambulatory surgical center, or (5) physician office—with claims required to include a unique, geographically specific national provider identifier code identifying that location, effective January 1, 2026.
