H.R. 8734 — To express the Sense of Congress with respect to safety of medication abortion and Federal preemption of State restrictions on dispensing medication abortion, and for other purposes.

This section expresses the sense of Congress that medication abortion is an extremely safe medical treatment appropriately approved by the Commissioner of Food and Drugs under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act and that such approval preempts any state law requiring in-person dispensing by a health care practitioner or prohibiting or restricting telehealth prescribing or dispensing of medication abortion.
