H.R. 876 — To amend the Defense Base Act to exclude Guam.

This section excludes Guam from the definition of “Territory or possession outside the continental United States” under the Defense Base Act and adds Guam to paragraph (4) of the Act’s definitions subsection. (Thus, the Act—which extends Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act coverage to certain employees on U.S. military or naval lands and public works contracts outside the continental United States—no longer applies to such employment in Guam.)
