H.R. 8762 — To amend the Commodity Credit Corporation Charter Act to exclude crops used to produce biofuel with respect to an agricultural commodity.

This section excludes crops used to produce biofuel, including any related infrastructure, from treatment as agricultural commodities under the Commodity Credit Corporation Charter Act by inserting the exclusion after each reference to tobacco in Section 5. (As background, the Commodity Credit Corporation provides loans, purchases, and other support to producers of designated agricultural commodities; tobacco has long been carved out of these authorities.)
