H.R. 933 — Defending Domestic Orange Juice Production Act of 2025

This section revises the FDA standard of identity for pasteurized orange juice to require not less than 10.0 percent by weight of orange juice soluble solids, exclusive of solids from any added optional sweetening ingredients (from 11.8 percent), effective on the date of enactment. (Standards of identity specify the minimum composition required for a food to be labeled and marketed as such, affecting juice producers and packers.) This section does not limit the Secretary of Health and Human Services's authority to promulgate regulations further amending the standard.
