H.Res. 1001 — Of inquiry requesting the President and directing the Secretary of State to transmit to the House of Representatives certain documents in their possession relating to the Administration's stance on Greenland.

This section requests the President and directs the Secretary of State to transmit to the House of Representatives, not later than 14 days after adoption of the resolution, all documents, Signal application chats, audio recordings, email and telephone records, correspondence, artificial intelligence large language model transcripts, and other communications created on or after January 20, 2025, relating to U.S. plans or assessments for ownership of or free association with Greenland; the Administration’s policy on the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Denmark and Greenland’s autonomous status; security matters under the 1951 U.S.-Denmark defense agreement as amended in 2004; legal or diplomatic implications of the use of force against NATO ally territory; compliance with obligations under the North Atlantic Treaty and UN Charter; and specified engagements involving private U.S. individuals, federal officials, Danish and Greenlandic authorities, other European or NATO governments, the President’s comments on a U.S. takeover of Greenland (including in the March 4, 2025, State of the Union Address), the reported 2025 influence campaign by Trump-associated individuals, the December 2025 Danish intelligence assessment of U.S. national security risks, the appointment of Governor Jeff Landry as Special Envoy to Greenland, and the January 14, 2026, meeting among the Vice President, the Secretary of State, and Danish and Greenlandic representatives.
