H.Res. 1002 — Recognizing the value of the Older Americans Act of 1965 nutrition program in addressing hunger, malnutrition, and isolation, and improving the health and quality of life for millions of our Nations seniors each year.

This section recognizes the important work of local Older Americans Act of 1965 (OAA) nutrition programs in improving seniors’ quality of life and addressing hunger, malnutrition, and isolation; values the role of volunteers and national organizations in raising non-Federal funds and awareness of unmet need; and encourages Members of Congress to deliver meals to homebound seniors or serve them in congregate settings and to support sustained Federal funding for these programs.
