This section designates National Stalking Awareness Month, applauds the efforts of service providers, police departments, prosecutors, national and community organizations, colleges and universities, and private sector entities to combat stalking and support victims, encourages policymakers, criminal justice officials, victim service agencies, institutions of higher education, and nonprofits to increase awareness of stalking and expand victim services, and urges national and community organizations, businesses, and the media to promote awareness of the crime of stalking.
