H.Res. 1059 — Of inquiry requesting the President of the United States to furnish certain information to the House of Representatives relating to the Department of Government Efficiency's access to and usage of NUMIDENT and other personally identifiable information in the possession of the Social Security Administration.

This section requests the President to furnish the House of Representatives, not later than 14 days after adoption of the resolution, copies of documents in his possession relating to four categories of activity involving the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), Elon Musk, DOGE team members, or individuals coordinating with DOGE. (1) Communications with nongovernmental organizations to analyze State voter rolls, overturn election results, or share information from the Social Security Administration’s Numerical Identification System (NUMIDENT) or other personally identifiable information. (2) Efforts on or after January 20, 2025, to share NUMIDENT data or other personally identifiable information with the Department of Homeland Security, including an encrypted file sent March 3, 2025, from a DOGE member at the Social Security Administration to the Department of Homeland Security and copied to Steve Davis. (3) Use of Cloudflare or other third-party servers to transmit electronic files containing Social Security Administration information. (4) Actions to access, use, or transmit NUMIDENT data or other personally identifiable information in violation of law, Social Security Administration policy, or the temporary restraining order issued March 20, 2025, and preliminary injunction granted April 17, 2025, by the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland.
