This section honors the life, leadership, and legacy of Rev. Jackson for his lifelong dedication to promoting equality for the disadvantaged, serving as a voice for peace among nations, and becoming one of the most successful Black leaders in American history; extends its deepest condolences to his family, including his wife, Jackie, and their 6 children; and calls upon all Americans, regardless of race, party affiliation, or creed, to uphold his belief in moving forward with hope rather than fear and division.
