H.Res. 1109 — Supporting the goals and ideals of National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day.

This section expresses the sense of the House of Representatives supporting the goals and ideals of National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day, recognizing progress made in responding to the HIV/AIDS epidemic since its inception 45 years ago, and calling for greater focus on the HIV-related vulnerabilities of women and girls. It further supports sustained investment in prevention, care, treatment, and research programs to reduce disparities and improve access to medications for women and girls in the United States and globally; encourages youth-friendly, culturally responsive healthcare services including access to pre- and post-exposure prophylaxis and antiretroviral therapy; and promotes efforts to address violence against women and girls, combat discrimination, expand sexual and reproductive health services, and include medically accurate HIV information in education curricula.
