H.Res. 1118 — Expressing support for the designation of the third week of March as "National CACFP Week".

This section recognizes the role of the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) in providing nutritious meals and snacks to vulnerable children and adults in Head Start programs, childcare programs (including military childcare), family daycare homes, emergency shelters, adult daycare programs, and after-school care. It urges strengthening CACFP through reimbursement for an additional meal or snack for children in full-day care, reduction of area eligibility from 50 percent to 40 percent, annual eligibility for for-profit childcare centers, annual food inflation adjustments regardless of setting, and reduced administrative burdens; acknowledges CACFP as a tool to lower costs in the care economy; and supports designation of National CACFP Week.
