H.Res. 1194 — Recognizing April 2026 as "Distracted Driving Awareness Month" and promoting efforts to help prevent tragic and preventable crashes, deaths, and injuries caused by distracted driving.

This section expresses the sense of the House of Representatives that (1) "Distracted Driving Awareness Month" should be recognized to raise awareness of distracted driving dangers; (2) the Department of Transportation, state departments of transportation, state and local governments, and state and local law enforcement should be supported in efforts to prevent distracted driving and save lives; and (3) people across the United States should take preventive steps against distracted driving, such as putting phones away, enabling "Do Not Disturb" features, and staying focused on the road.
