This section expresses the sense of the House of Representatives by—(1) recognizing the 200th anniversary of the Exodus of Missolonghi as a defining moment in the Greek War of Independence; (2) paying tribute to the men, women, and children of Missolonghi; (3) honoring philhellenes, including American philhellenes, who supported the Greek independence struggle; (4) affirming shared democratic values and historical bonds between the United States and Greece; and (5) encouraging educational, cultural, and commemorative activities for the anniversary.
