H.Res. 1208 — Expressing support for honoring Earth Day, and for other purposes.

This section expresses the sense of the House of Representatives that (1) the President should issue a proclamation recognizing Earth Day; (2) the American people should observe Earth Day by addressing environmental challenges from climate change to litter, uplifting indigenous environmental knowledge and stewardship, educating others on year-round action, and honoring Senator Gaylord Nelson's stewardship ethic; (3) immediate action is needed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and address environmental injustices to protect public health and wildlife; and (4) the United States Government should rejoin the Paris Agreement and prioritize efforts to ensure a livable planet for future generations.
