This section expresses the sense of the House of Representatives supporting “National County Government Month” by (1) calling on counties, parishes, and boroughs across the United States to join the celebration; (2) encouraging those entities to pass resolutions or proclamations recognizing the month and to promote their roles and responsibilities in serving residents; (3) encouraging counties to use the month to raise awareness of their local programs and services; and (4) encouraging Members of Congress to engage local communities to support public education on counties' essential roles in daily American life.
