This section expresses the sense of the House of Representatives regarding National Foster Sibling Connections Month by (1) supporting its recognition, (2) acknowledging the critical importance of sibling relationships for children and youth in foster care, (3) encouraging Federal, State, Tribal, and local agencies to prioritize policies and practices promoting sibling placement and lifelong connection, (4) supporting efforts to improve data collection and transparency on sibling relationships and separations in foster care, and (5) calling on policymakers, child welfare professionals, advocates, and the public to raise awareness of and address the needs of siblings impacted by foster care.
