This section celebrates the 200th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the United States and Peru, recognizes Peru as a longstanding critical partner in advancing stability, democracy, and prosperity in the Western Hemisphere, commends the contributions of Peruvian Americans to the social, cultural, and economic fabric of the United States, reaffirms the U.S. commitment to deepen bilateral cooperation, and encourages continued partnership on shared challenges including the defense of democratic institutions, regional security and stability, and economic prosperity.
