“Recognizing the ongoing Nakba and Palestinian refugees' rights.”
No CRS summary available for this bill.
This section expresses the sense of the House of Representatives that it is the policy of the United States to commemorate the Nakba through official recognition and remembrance, denounce its ongoing effects on the Palestinian people, support resumed social services for Palestinian refugees through the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East, recognize Palestinian refugees’ rights under United Nations General Assembly Resolution 194, and end United States complicity by prohibiting the use of United States weapons to destroy Palestinian homes or forcibly remove Palestinians from their land and by ending diplomatic support for such actions.
