H.Res. 139 — Calling on the United Kingdom, France, and Germany (E3) to initiate the snapback of sanctions on Iran under United Nations Security Council Resolution 2231 (2015).

This section expresses the sense of the House of Representatives on Iran’s nuclear program by (1) recognizing that Iran’s possession of a nuclear weapon would threaten United States and global security, including the security of United States allies and partners in Europe and the Middle East; (2) condemning Iran’s violations of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and United Nations Security Council Resolution 2231 (UNSCR 2231); (3) condemning the Russian Federation and the People’s Republic of China for supporting Iran’s malign activities; (4) reaffirming the United States Government’s right to take any necessary measures to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons; (5) supporting the imposition and enforcement of robust sanctions on Iran’s nuclear and missile programs; and (6) urging the E3 (France, Germany, and the United Kingdom) to invoke the snapback of United Nations sanctions against Iran under UNSCR 2231 before the option expires on October 18, 2025.
