H.Res. 167 — To establish uniform standards for flag displays in the House of Representatives facilities.

This section establishes the scope of the resolution by applying it to House office buildings, leadership offices and facilities used for official purposes, committee locations used for official purposes, and any other area under House jurisdiction, while excepting the individual personal office space of a Member of the House of Representatives.

This section limits the flags that may be displayed in any location covered by section 1 to the United States flag, the official House of Representatives flags and insignia, the State flag of the represented district of a Member of the House of Representatives (displayed adjacent to the Member’s office), a military service flag, the POW/MIA flag, any flag eligible to be displayed in the Hall of Tribal Nations of the Bureau of Indian Affairs Museum Program, and the flags of visiting foreign dignitaries during an official visit.

This section directs the Administration Committee of the House of Representatives and the Sergeant at Arms to oversee the application of this resolution by establishing a process for reviewing and approving temporary exceptions and implementing a timeline for compliance with an initial implementation date not later than 30 days after the date of enactment of this resolution.
