H.Res. 210 — Supporting the goals and ideals of National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day.

This section recognizes the progress made in responding to the HIV/AIDS epidemic since its inception 44 years ago and recommits to bipartisan efforts to end the HIV epidemic in the United States and globally. It (1) calls for greater focus on the HIV-related vulnerabilities of women and girls, including those who have faced violence or discrimination; (2) supports strong, sustained investment in prevention, care, treatment services, and research to reduce disparities and improve access to medications for women and girls affected by HIV in the United States and globally; (3) supports U.S. efforts to reduce new infections, increase care access, improve health outcomes, and reduce HIV-related disparities for women and girls; (4) supports U.S. investment in global, evidence-based, multisectoral approaches to reduce new infections among women and girls; (5) encourages youth-friendly, culturally responsive, inclusive, and accessible health care services, including voluntary routine testing and early connection to pre- and post-exposure prophylaxis and antiretroviral therapy; (6) encourages continued investment in foreign assistance and diplomatic efforts to address violence against women and girls, combat discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity, and recognize adolescent girls' inability to access sexual and reproductive health services as a key driver of the epidemic; and (7) promotes access to up-to-date, inclusive, culturally responsive, and medically accurate HIV information, including on pre- and post-exposure prophylaxis, in sexual education curricula.
