This section recognizes the cultural and historical significance of Nowruz; expresses appreciation for the contributions of Iranian Americans to society in the United States; recognizes the hopes and aspirations of the Iranian people for human rights, religious tolerance, open access to the internet, and freedom; commends observance of the holiday in both the United States and Iran; supports the rights of all Iranians to freedom of assembly, expression, and speech; and wishes a prosperous new year to Iranian Americans, the people of Iran, and all observers of the holiday.
