H.Res. 316 — Of inquiry requesting the President to transmit certain documents relating to the use of insecure electronic communication platforms, including Signal, for official communications and to the compliance of the Administration with all Federal records laws.

This section requests the President to transmit to the House of Representatives, not later than 14 days after adoption of the resolution and in complete and unredacted form, any documents relating to the Administration's plans to preserve official electronic communications containing highly sensitive national security information sent via platforms such as Signal, SMS, iMessage, WhatsApp, Teams, MatterMost, Slack, and Gmail; the conduct of official business via such platforms on Federal Government devices; the conduct of official business via such platforms on personal devices in violation of Federal law; and plans, procedures, or practices to prevent automatic deletion of official communications in violation of Federal recordkeeping requirements.
