This section expresses the sense of the House of Representatives regarding Iran’s nuclear program by (1) supporting continued International Atomic Energy Agency verification of Iran’s compliance with its Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons Safeguards Agreement; (2) condemning Iran’s failure to cooperate and lack of transparency; (3) calling on Iran to immediately fulfill its safeguards obligations and resolve all outstanding issues; (4) urging Iran to reinstate all necessary IAEA inspectors and grant them full access to nuclear sites; (5) calling on the United States, in coordination with allies, to take all necessary diplomatic and economic measures to hold Iran accountable; (6) supporting the IAEA Director General’s engagement with Iran; and (7) asserting that Congress should authorize the use of U.S. Armed Forces against Iran if international efforts fail, Iran withdraws from the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons, or a U.S. National Intelligence Estimate concludes that Iran has crossed the nuclear threshold.
