This section supports the designation of National Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Mental Health Day; recognizes the importance of mental health to family and community well-being and the benefits of cultural and linguistic heritage; acknowledges the need to raise awareness and improve care quality for these communities; and encourages Federal, State, and local health agencies to adopt laws, policies, and guidance that increase help-seeking rates for mental health services.
