This section expresses support for the designation of National Wildfire Preparedness Month, encourages increased awareness of and preparedness for wildfires and suppression efforts at the Federal, State, local, and Tribal levels of government including Alaska Native and Native Hawaiian communities as well as by nongovernmental organizations and communities, and supports resources and educational initiatives on preventative measures including home hardening, land management practices to reduce or remove flammable grasses and shrubs, early warning systems, reductions in unplanned human ignitions, reductions in adverse health impacts from smoke and fire exposure, and safe evacuation of people and animals.
