H.Res. 494 — Condemning the Violent Attacks on Law Enforcement Officers and Military Servicemembers, and the Destruction of Personal Property in Los Angeles, California.

This section expresses the sense of the House of Representatives that (1) it condemns the actions of Governor Gavin Newsom and Mayor Karen Bass to obstruct federal immigration enforcement and continue unlawful sanctuary policies; (2) it denounces acts of violence, arson, and civil unrest in Los Angeles as a threat to public safety and national stability; (3) federal agencies, including U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, have a constitutional duty to enforce immigration laws, and it condemns state or local government interference with those duties; and (4) it supports the prosecution of any individual, regardless of immigration status, who engages in violence against federal agents or law enforcement personnel.
