This section expresses the sense of the House of Representatives on U.S. policy toward Iran by (1) hailing the success of Operation Midnight Hammer in disrupting Iran’s nuclear weapons infrastructure and neutralizing an imminent threat; (2) reaffirming the U.S. position that Iran must never acquire a nuclear weapon and embracing a policy of permanent, verifiable prohibition on enrichment, weapons development, and ballistic missiles, using diplomacy where possible and force when necessary; (3) reaffirming support for Israel’s self-defense and calling for continued U.S.-Israel coordination, including replenishment of Iron Dome and David’s Sling systems; (4) applauding renewed calls for Iran to return to negotiations on ending hostilities and dismantling its nuclear program, backed by sustained pressure; (5) urging the United Kingdom, France, and Germany to press Iran for deescalation and reengagement while coordinating on sanctions and measures under Resolution 2231; and (6) affirming that the United States does not seek war with the Iranian people and expressing solidarity with their aspirations for peace and freedoms.
