H.Res. 611 — Expressing the importance of accurate information for medical professionals treating pregnant women and their unborn children in the emergency department, and for informing the general public, and for other purposes.

This section expresses the sense of the House of Representatives by recognizing the need to guide future policy so medical professionals know they can treat an ectopic pregnancy or miscarriage, calling for medical providers to ensure the public knows such treatment is legal in every state, calling for medical organizations to advise members on the differences between elective-induced abortion and medical intervention for ectopic pregnancy or miscarriage, and calling for institutions of higher education to instruct doctors, nurses, and emergency department personnel on those differences and the critical-thinking processes needed to make related decisions with patients.
