This section honors the life and legacy of Juan López, grieves with his family, and affirms support for a new Honduran commission against corruption and impunity and an international commission to assist in investigating his murder. The section also commends the Guapinol water defenders; reaffirms commitment to ensuring Hondurans can defend natural resources without fear of corruption; and calls on the U.S. government to work with Honduras for greater security and democracy while increasing support for frontline human rights defenders.
