H.Res. 73 — Condemning the fraudulent January 2025 Belarusian presidential election and the Lukashenka regime's continued autocratic rule, calling for continued support for the people of Belarus who seek a democratic future, and calling for free and fair elections in Belarus in line with international standards.

This section expresses the sense of the House of Representatives regarding the Belarusian presidential elections of January 26, 2025, and the Lukashenka regime by—(1) condemning the fraudulent elections and ongoing repression of the democratic opposition; (2) calling for free and fair elections with credible international monitoring; (3) condemning the regime's support for Russia's war against Ukraine, complicity in forcible transfers of Ukrainian children, and use of Belarusian territory for Russian attacks; (4) supporting additional sanctions against regime officials and entities undermining democracy or aiding Russia's war; (5) calling for continued U.S. support for the Belarusian democratic opposition, including regular meetings of the U.S.-Belarusian democratic opposition Strategic Dialogue; (6) calling for the immediate release of more than 1,200 political prisoners; (7) supporting allied sanctions, visa restrictions, and dialogue to hold the regime accountable; and (8) standing with the Belarusian people in pursuit of democracy.
