This section states that the House of Representatives (1) recognizes the role of Spanish-language news and entertainment media in informing, educating, and enriching U.S. communities; (2) affirms that access to Spanish-language news and cultural content promotes opportunity, inclusion, and democratic participation; (3) commends Spanish-language journalists, broadcasters, and entertainers for their contributions to American democracy, culture, and society; and (4) encourages policies and initiatives to promote language access and the sustainability of Spanish-language media outlets.
