H.Res. 825 — Of inquiry requesting the President to transmit certain information to the House of Representatives referring to United States Government agencies sharing certain communications with the public and Federal employees.

This section requests that the President transmit to the House of Representatives, not later than 14 days after the adoption of this resolution, specified unredacted documents and communications concerning a lapse in appropriations, including: (1) any related to an Office of Management and Budget directive to federal agencies on language for employee communications about a potential lapse; (2) any related to a Department of Housing and Urban Development website message stating "The Radical Left in Congress shut down the government. HUD will use available resources to help Americans in need."; (3) any related to the Department of Education's modification of furloughed employees' out-of-office email messages to blame Democrat Senators for the lapse; and (4) any between the Offices of the President, Vice President, Personnel Management, Management and Budget, and Special Counsel on whether lapse-related communications violated 5 U.S.C. §§ 7323-7324 (Hatch Act) or 31 U.S.C. § 1341 (Antideficiency Act).
