This section expresses the sense of the House of Representatives that (1) it supports the designation of Foster Youth Voice Month and encourages public awareness and participation in related events and initiatives organized by youth in foster care; (2) it acknowledges the contributions and resilience of youth in foster care and urges federal recognition of Foster Youth Voice Month as an official awareness month; and (3) it acknowledges and celebrates policy victories and systems changes driven by young people with lived experience in foster care, and urges legislative bodies to recognize the value of lived experience in crafting laws and policies to improve outcomes for such youth.
