This section expresses the sense of the House of Representatives regarding the U.S.-India partnership through the following declarations: (1) reaffirming the strong partnership rooted in people-to-people ties and strategic interests, including Indo-Pacific peace, security, and prosperity; (2) encouraging continued and expanded cooperation for a free, open, and resilient Indo-Pacific, including through the Quad; (3) welcoming India's participation in economic initiatives, the Quad, and other forums; (4) supporting further opportunities to deepen defense, commercial, and investment ties; (5) calling for continued counterterrorism cooperation, including prosecution of the 2008 Mumbai attacks perpetrators; (6) affirming the importance of technology cooperation, including through the U.S.-India Transforming the Relationship Utilizing Strategic Technology initiative; (7) recognizing the importance of expanding people-to-people programs, particularly between educational institutions; (8) appreciating the Indian-American diaspora's contributions and desiring closer U.S.-India people-to-people relations; (9) recognizing India's growing energy needs and applauding its increased purchases of U.S. energy resources; and (10) viewing the bilateral relationship as beneficial for both nations' citizens and global challenges.
