This section supports the designation of National Financial Planning Month to increase public awareness about the importance of financial planning and urges the people of the United States to observe the month with appropriate programs and activities, including (1) public seminars or workshops on budgeting, saving, use of credit, investing, and retirement planning; (2) financial education curricula in schools and colleges; (3) promoting access to financial planning services; (4) improving financial literacy of individuals of all ages; and (5) supporting pro bono financial planning initiatives for underserved and economically vulnerable individuals and families.
