This section states the sense of the House of Representatives that it (1) reaffirms the U.S.-EU commitment to promote and protect human rights, democracy, and the rule of law in Bosnia and Herzegovina and worldwide; (2) commends the people of Bosnia and Herzegovina for their commitment to peace and cooperation 30 years after the Dayton Peace Accords; (3) notes the government's efforts toward NATO and EU membership, including constitutional, governing, economic, rule of law, and judicial reforms; (4) reiterates the importance of the Dayton Peace Accords for constitutional reform and EU accession requirements; (5) urges the government to pursue constitutional reforms to reconcile the past and build a common future across ethnic and religious lines; (6) urges the government to uphold the tripartite presidency, strengthen institutions, and achieve independent democracy; (7) urges the U.S. government to support the Office of the High Representative until the Peace Implementation Council unanimously agrees it is no longer needed; (8) urges the U.S. government to support full implementation of the EU Stabilization and Association Agreement with Balkan states; (9) encourages regional cooperation against malign influence from Russia and China; (10) recognizes Ohio and the Dayton community for their role in the Dayton Peace Accords and ongoing support for diplomacy, security, and peace; and (11) acknowledges contributions of the Bosnian-American diaspora.
