H.Res. 925 — Condemning the Government of Iran's state-sponsored persecution of the Baha'i minority in Iran and the continued violation of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights.

This section (1) condemns the Government of Iran’s state-sponsored persecution of the Baha’i minority and its violation of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights; (2) calls on Iran to release imprisoned or detained Baha’is and other religious prisoners, end its hate propaganda campaign against Baha’is, and reverse policies denying Baha’is and other religious minorities equal opportunities in higher education, employment, due process, and religious practice; (3) calls on the President and Secretary of State, in cooperation with other nations, to condemn Iran’s human rights violations and demand release of religious prisoners; and (4) urges the President and Secretary of State to impose sanctions on Iranian officials and others responsible for human rights abuses against the Baha’i community.
