This section states the sense of the House of Representatives by (1) expressing unwavering support and gratitude for law enforcement officers across North Carolina and the United States; (2) honoring law enforcement officers that sacrifice life and limb serving in the line of duty, especially those who have made the ultimate sacrifice; (3) recognizing the law enforcement community for outstanding acts of sacrifice and heroism; and (4) encouraging all Americans to observe National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day with appropriate ceremonies and activities that demonstrate respect, support, and appreciation for law enforcement officers.
