S. 1081 — Comprehensive NASA Reporting Act of 2025

This section defines, for purposes of the Act, the term "Administrator" as the Administrator of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration and the term "NASA" as the National Aeronautics and Space Administration.

This section establishes NASA reporting requirements to specified congressional committees. It (1) requires any report or notice required by law that is provided to Congress by NASA also to be provided to the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation and the House Committee on Science, Space, and Technology not later than 10 days after its delivery to any other committee or office; (2) requires nonpublic reports, privileged reports, reprogramming requests, and spend plans provided to those committees pursuant to (1) to be treated as confidential committee documents not subject to public disclosure; and (3) requires the NASA Administrator, if the United States becomes a signatory to an international agreement or nonbinding instrument concerning outer space activities involving NASA, to submit a report containing a copy of the agreement or instrument to the Senate Committees on Commerce, Science, and Transportation and Foreign Relations and the House Committees on Science, Space, and Technology and Foreign Affairs not later than 15 days after the signatory date.
