S. 1229 — End Taxpayer Subsidies for Electric Vehicles Act

This section repeals the clean vehicle tax credit (section 30D) and makes conforming amendments to various Internal Revenue Code sections and 23 U.S.C. §166. (Thus, taxpayers may claim a tax credit of up to $7,500 for qualified new clean vehicles—i.e., plug-in electric drive motor vehicles and fuel cell vehicles meeting specified battery, sourcing, and price requirements—placed in service during calendar years beginning on or before the date of enactment.)
