S. 1239 — Convenient Contraception Act

This section amends the requirement for group health plans and health insurance issuers offering group or individual coverage to provide preventive health services without cost-sharing (i.e., those recommended under section 2713 of the Public Health Service Act, including contraceptives per HRSA guidelines) by mandating that such plans and coverage permit enrollees to obtain up to a 365-day supply of contraceptives in a single fill or refill without cost-sharing, effective for plan years beginning on or after January 1, 2026. It further directs the Secretaries of Health and Human Services, Labor, and Treasury to jointly conduct outreach to inform health care providers and enrollees of this requirement beginning 90 days after enactment.
