S. 1358 — TASK Act

This section requires the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), as part of its evaluation of potential guidance on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) reporting by publicly traded companies, to require reporting on (1) sourcing and due diligence activities involving supply chains of products imported into the United States that are linked to forced labor from Xinjiang, China; (2) transactions with companies placed on the Department of Commerce's Entity List or designated by the Department of the Treasury as Chinese Military-Industrial Complex Companies; and (3) for publicly traded U.S. companies with facilities in China, on an annual basis, whether a Chinese Communist Party committee exists in company operations and a summary of actions and corporate decisions in which such a committee participated.
