S. 1432 — West Coast Ocean Protection Act of 2025

This section prohibits the Secretary of the Interior from issuing leases or other authorizations for oil or natural gas exploration, development, or production on the Outer Continental Shelf in four specified planning areas off the coasts of California, Oregon, and Washington (i.e., the Washington/Oregon Planning Area, Northern California Planning Area, Central California Planning Area, and Southern California Planning Area, as depicted in the 2024–2029 National Outer Continental Shelf Oil and Gas Leasing Proposed Final Program). (Thus, the prohibition applies notwithstanding any other provision of law.)
