S. 1703 — Rural Small Business Resilience Act

This section directs the Administrator of the Small Business Administration (SBA), not later than one year after the date of enactment, to ensure that the Associate Administrator of the Office of Disaster Recovery and Resilience takes actions necessary to provide individuals located in rural areas (as defined in section 7(b)(16) of the Small Business Act) full access to disaster assistance under SBA's section 7(b) disaster loan program following a disaster declaration under that section, including through targeted outreach and marketing materials. (As background, section 7(b) authorizes SBA to make low-interest disaster loans to homeowners, renters, businesses, and nonprofits to repair or replace disaster-damaged property and cover economic injury.)
