S. 1724 — Town of North Topsail Beach Coastal Barrier Resources System Map Amendment Act of 2025

This section directs the Secretary of the Interior, not later than 30 days after enactment, to correct the map dated November 25, 2024, for Unit L06 of the John H. Chafee Coastal Barrier Resources System (CBRS)—which generally prohibits federal expenditures for development, infrastructure, and flood insurance within designated coastal barrier areas—to exclude parcels in the town of North Topsail Beach, North Carolina, designated by local zoning ordinance for non-conservation purposes as of enactment. (Thus, such parcels are deemed to meet CBRS modification criteria under 16 U.S.C. 3503(g)(1)(B) and become eligible for otherwise prohibited federal assistance.)
