S. 1749 — No United States Recognition of Russian Sovereignty Over Crimea or Any Other Forcibly Seized Ukrainian Territory

This section establishes as U.S. policy nonrecognition of the Russian Federation's claim of sovereignty over Crimea or any other forcibly seized Ukrainian territory (including related airspace or territorial waters) and prohibits federal departments or agencies from taking any action, extending nonhumanitarian assistance, or spending funds that imply such recognition unless formally recognized by Ukraine's democratically elected government.
