S. 177 — Protect Funding for Women's Health Care Act

This section states congressional findings that (1) state and county health departments, community health centers, hospitals, physicians' offices, and other entities provide health services to women—including diagnostic laboratory and radiology services, well-child care, prenatal and postpartum care, immunizations, family planning services including contraception, sexually transmitted disease testing, cervical and breast cancer screenings, and referrals; (2) many such entities provide services to all persons regardless of ability to pay and serve medically underserved areas and populations; and (3) all funds no longer available to Planned Parenthood Federation of America will continue to be made available to other eligible entities for women's health care services.

This section prohibits federal funding to Planned Parenthood Federation of America or any of its affiliates, subsidiaries, successors, or clinics, notwithstanding any other provision of law. It specifies that the prohibition does not affect limitations in appropriations acts relating to abortion or reduce overall federal funding available in support of women's health.
